Named after the gemstone that represents cleansing, shielding and protection, Tormalyn makes glass cups and bottles with a sustainable frame of mind and a high-quality, spill-proof design.
Using eco-friendly materials to build a collection of vibrant reusable glassware, Tormalyn is an Australian-made brand that weâre excited to collaborate with.
To quench our thirst and learn more about Tormalyn, we caught up with the brandâs founder to take us behind the brand.
As part of the development as an individual striving toward freedom, I made the decision to leap into unknown territory and begin something mine, that I loved and in which I believed.
My love for coffee, glassware and design. Combining them all in a work of art, and functionality was nothing short of thrilling.
I worked for several years with retail businesses and enterprises focused on health, eco-sustainable products, and wellbeing. Seeing so many marvellous products crafted to be both beautiful while infused with the higher purpose of reducing waste, pollution and environmental problems, was a true inspiration.
We want to provide better choices for every-day-life items such as cups and bottles, that return happiness, satisfaction and do not harm the environment. At Tormalyn, we aim to establish a beneficial partnership with customers, collectively working together toward the betterment of our collective future. Our products are designed to withstand time, have style, as well as improved functions to avoid spills while enjoying our favourite drinks, which is currently one of the biggest flaws in most reusable cups. And the cherry on the top: they are fully recyclable!
Blue and green being my favourite colours, is an easy pick. Our flagship mint-green colour small cup!
You have to be resilient to be in this game. And put in the love, the passion, and the effort. And still, be strong enough to suffer the drawbacks. But when you still find yourself alive, with scars healing, and able to stand up again, with the fear subsiding, what can stop you? Your wish for more cannot but grow.

What started as a blog, Supercharged Food has now turned into a thriving, multi-faceted health business complete with cookbooks, wellness programs, and soon, a fully-fledged holistic clinic.
Born from her own health struggles, Lee created Supercharged Food with her fellow Australians in mind, building a strong connection to the planet as well. Itâs truly wellness incarnate.
So, to fill our cups (and bowls), Supercharged Food founder, Lee is sharing more of her passions and inspirations as she takes us behind the brand.
Supercharged Food began its life after I was diagnosed with a crippling autoimmune disease in 2006. I was taking a cocktail of interesting medication that appeared to be making little to no difference and realised that I had to take charge of my health. So from that day, I began an intense journey to heal myself through food.Â
Once I have my mindset on something, I am pretty determined. While recovering I spent hours researching, studying and looking into ways I could harness the power of food to nourish my body.Â
As is often the case, necessity is the mother of invention and I realised that I could create delicious and easy recipes using nourishing ingredients â something that at the time was considered impossible. Supercharged Food was born, as I wanted to educate anyone who would listen [about] the art of fun, nutrient-rich eating.Â
The products are wholesome, affordable and made with people and the planet in mind. My brand is accessible, inspiring and aims to make the world a better place.
Oooo itâs so hard to pick one! If I had to say I would pick the Love Your Gut capsules because they are very effective (I have Crohnâs and previously leaky gut and they help so much) and also, theyâre easy to take and vegan as well!
Iâm motivated by happy customers and fellow recipe lovers who enjoy making my dishes. When people send me feedback that their whole family has loved a dish, it just makes me feel so inspired to keep on motivating others.
I would wish for continued health, a happy family and to be able to live in alignment with my values and nature.
When I started my blog www.superchargedfood.com in my pyjamas on the couch after a bout of illness I had no idea it would lead to what I am doing now. Itâs been a rollercoaster and had its ups and downs, but I wouldnât change it for the world. My biggest achievement has been writing nine best selling cookbooks.
I am focussing on the business right now and creating products that make a difference in peopleâs lives. Iâm also moving house to Summer Bay (AKA Palm Beach) where Iâm setting up my Supercharged wellness and nutrition clinic which Iâm so excited about! There will be yoga, meditation, nutrition sessions and cooking, and also a bit of paddling in Pittwater âº
I love Sunday mornings! I wake up and straight away do 23 minutes of Vedic meditation. Then I usually put the kettle on and make a pot of chai tea. Then Iâll either go and teach yoga or do a personal practice or take my dog for a walk to the park and stretch our legs!
When we get home, I usually make breakfast, and lately, itâs been this smoothie https://www.superchargedfood.com/blog/all/my-lockdown-gut-immunity-smoothie-video/

What started as home kitchen-made skincare for psoriasis relief turned into what we now know as Olive Oil Skin Care. Using natural ingredients and bringing a true passion for these products has come together to establish a full collection of incredible nourishment for the skin.
From hand soap to hair care, Olive Oil Skin Care is all-natural and safe for many skin types. And here, the founder is lathering us up with the details of how Olive Oil Skin Care came to be as she takes us behind the brand.
A family member suffered [from] psoriasis. It was aggravated by available soaps. Internet research indicated that olive oil-based natural soaps could provide a remedy. Used the suggested formulas in a kitchen setting- made all by hand and on the kitchen stove. The end product worked and did not aggravate psoriasis. Friends wanted the soap and it went from there and expanded into an entire range. Visits to Europe indicated the extent of potential products.
An all-natural brand based on ethically and environmentally responsible resourced ingredients.
My personal favourite is the lemon-scented tea tree hand wash infused with microfine bamboo. It has a âtriple playâ action.
Hands feel clean and smooth after application.

From coffee cups to wine glasses and even foldable, reusable drinkware to bring on the go, porter green has created beautiful, bamboo-based sustainable cups that are unlike anything else on the market.
Built by a Melbourne-based sister team, porter green wanted to create a truly unbreakable, reusable coffee cup. One that both wouldnât smash if dropped on the way to work and looked gorgeous enough to serve your guestsâ prosecco on a backyard picnic.
Here, co-founders Jane and Mary are serving us the tea on porter green and taking us behind the brand.
My sister and co-founder Jane and I have long experience in the industry. Following years of seeing products in the market which were inevitably headed to a landfill, we wanted to form a company to produce stylish and sustainable products of which we could both be proud.
One morning, at breakfast with my partner, I watched a mother struggle juggling a pram, toddler and glass reusable coffee cup. The poor thing dropped her coffee and of course, the cup shattered. I thought âthere has to be a better solutionâ and the quest to develop our urbb was born. It is our own design (which is registered and legally enforceable), expertly engineered in Australia, dishwasher-safe, made from biodegradable bamboo, is leakproof and we believe it is the best reusable cup in the market!
porter green = style + sustainability!
2020 has changed the way we share time with friends and family for the foreseeable future. For the past few months, and certainly, over this summer, the social setting is outdoors. Our divine fegg and stemm collections are the perfect accessory! These unbreakable wine glasses and tumblers are foldable, light, portable, dishwasher safe and beautiful to drink from. Theyâre selling out wherever they go (one new customer re-ordered after only 3 days!) and perfectly price-pointed for gift-giving. We see them as the Kris Kringle of 2020!
Expanding the reach of our collection to inspire more people to replace single-use products with our stylish reusable tools that combine the perfect pairing of form and function!
Right now it would be more team members to help process and pack orders â weâve been inundated!
The challenge of starting any small business is huge. Weâve had to overcome some enormous hurdles and remain strong in the face of adversity whilst trusting the process.
On the upside, Jane and I are lucky enough to have the support of our father who has backed our dream and is an integral part of the porter green story. My favourite moments happen every day with Jane when we get to work together with products we absolutely love and have such fun, fulfilment and excitement as the brand we created together goes from strength to strength.
We brand for customers creating beautiful, bespoke products for promotion and corporate gifting. Weâre currently working with one of the biggest companies in Australia on their initiative to replace single-use disposable cups with a more sustainable alternative for their staff members. Itâs been two years in the making and itâs so gratifying to be part of this remarkable initiative.
We also have some stunning new products currently in development for release in 2021!
Sunday mornings are sacred for Jane and I! We love spending time over a lazy brunch with our partners eating something healthy and delicious, and sipping an almond or oat milk latte from our urbb!

Dogs and cats can have sensitive skin too! Aussie pawrents used to struggle to find something gentle and natural for their fur babiesâ skincare. Well, not anymore because Bear & Kind took matters into their own hands, creating an all-natural pet care line with gentleness in mind.
To give us the scrub down on all things Bear & Kind, weâre catching up with its founder whoâs taking us behind the brand.
I have been in pet care for a number of years and started my first grooming product line around 15 years ago. I had a salon in Melbourne and kept seeing dogs come in with sensitive, irritated skin. There was absolutely nothing on the market back then that was formulated for really sensitive skin so we developed our own. We sold it alongside the service business for a few years until I left Melbourne for a tree change years later and picked it up again. This time I wanted to go right back to basics and make everything from scratch. So I found a teacher and learned how to make soap bars and shampoo. I started making products for my animals (I had a rescue farm for a few years there) and for friends and sold a few at local farmers markets but it bever really took off. Then COVID hit and I thought well⦠may as well give it a go. I created a website and got a shop started on Etsy and now here we are.
Homegrown Aussie brand that makes organic, vegan grooming and well-being products for pets. We aim to use the purest, high-quality ingredients we can. Our base ingredients and botanicals are certified organic, the rest are natural, local where possible, organically grown when available, accented with pure essential oils. Our products contain no parabens, sulphates, palm oil, surfactants, petrochemicals, synthetic colours, fragrances or preservatives, and are non-toxic, hypoallergenic and cruelty-free. Oh⦠we also use biodegradable or tinted glass packaging wherever possible to preserve the integrity and shelf life of each product, and reduce single-use plastics.
Yikes⦠ummm⦠smell wise it would be the Down Boy (mandarin and lime) Shampoo and Coat Gloss⦠for my dry sensitive skin, I love using my There There Pet Soothing Shampoo Bar. I use it as a body bar⦠all of our product ingredients are human and cosmetic grade so people can use them too LOL.
Hearing customers say that they really love a product and that it helped their dog or cat. Being able to help pet owners solve a problem I think.
Hmmmm⦠a bigger acreage less than half an hour from the beach, stables and shelters built for more rescue animals, and a big float so I could take them all to the beach with me LOL.
Hard to say⦠this current chapter is still only less than a year old. Probably learning from past mistakes and not repeating them⦠I think that is an achievement of sorts, and just generally feeling like Iâm putting a product out there that helps pet owners make life healthier or better for their furbabies.Â
We have a range for cats coming very soon, Iâm excited about that. I am also working on a range for horses as well. Other than that I guess we will see what happens!
No breakfast, not a morning person LOL. Would be brunch after 1 pm probably, Eggs Benedict, and then take the puppers somewhere for a run.
Done is better than perfect.
My great grandmother.
Tie between chicken enchiladas and fettuccine con pollo.

No idea⦠just the concept blows my mind⦠anywhere and everywhere probably LOL.

Australian families and VegeMite traditionally go hand in hand. But what happens when your child loves VegeMite but has food intolerances that forces them to give up this Aussie classic?
Thatâs how EveryMite was born. Family-focused and inclusive for Aussies with various food requirements, EveryMite is dairy-free, nut-free, soy-free, yeast-free, grain-free, and all-natural. Plus, it has no added sugar, fillers, or folic acid.
To spread the news about EveryMite, we caught up with the founder to take us behind the brand.
The Burning Questions
I am a social worker by trade. I never would have seen myself as a food manufacturer or product developer! What happened is that our third son was born with Down Syndrome and numerous health and gut issues and with that, many food intolerances. We discovered that he could not eat Vegemite due to the ingredients in it. We had fed his siblings Vegemite. We had never looked at the ingredients on the label at any stage before this and were surprised.Â
When we discovered he could not eat Vegemite, I searched for an alternative he could safely eat, and could not find anything. We still wanted a Vegemite-like spread to eat, so I developed my own through a few years of experimentation. Â
I discovered that many other people also needed a healthy alternative, so I then went on the journey of getting EveryMite tested, starting a business, and taking it to market. It was a long journey with many challenges but has been such a rewarding journey.Â
Family-oriented, health-orientated, inclusive, and accessible.Â
It is about family and feeding them only the best quality ingredients to nourish them. It is free from all the nasties so it is inclusive to almost everyone. One of my key goals is that it is accessible to almost everyone, so having [it] in stores across Australia has been a big drive for me so people can easily access it as well.Â
I have just bought out BabyMite. This one has to be my favourite at the moment as I get the pleasure of seeing cute little happy babies enjoying eating every day on social media!Â
The most rewarding part of EveryMite is seeing the face of people that enjoy it, hearing that it has made a difference to their life as they now have a healthy alternative they can safely eat. Â
I see many social media posts, I receive emails, and this is what motivates me in business to continue each day.Â
There is very little that I want or need, but if I had to pick it would be:
1- People with Down Syndrome struggle with language. This is our youngest son Wiliamâs biggest challenge. Therefore I would wish that he was able to effectively communicate with those around him.
2- For our eldest children to be happy and healthy at all (or at least most) times.
3- To not get cancer again. I have had cancer twice in the last two years and just finished radiation treatment after numerous surgeries. I wish not to have this occur again that's for sure.Â
Small business, any business, is new to me, after being a social worker my whole career. The biggest challenge has been starting, maintaining and learning how to grow a business from scratch. In addition to this, developing a product from scratch including the label design and advertising material. This was something I never saw myself ever doing, and here I am!Â
We have just bought out BabyMite, and I am currently working on bringing out some more healthy products soon.Â
Sunday mornings are usually music on quietly and some cooking for the week. As we eat nutrient-dense organic food free from inflammatory ingredients, I make most things we eat. That which I don't make, we buy from our local organic market, so that is sometimes a Sunday morning also.Â
Breakfast for our son William is always a piece of paleo toast with EveryMite, then some organic fried eggs. We currently add Psyllium Husk to his toast under the EveryMite, which is working really well and gets that extra fibre into him which he needs.Â
Breakfast for me is generally a homemade organic nutrient-dense granola and an organic chai spice tea.Â
My deceased younger brother. He unexpectedly died from an accidental drug overdose two years ago, after many years of suffering [from] mental illness and addiction. Â
The Beach, Sunshine Coast.Â
I Like to Move It.. from the Madagascar 5 Movie. It is our sonâs favourite song and we can play it on repeat and dance for hours.Â
No Coffee, just organic tea.Â
Any comedy with Ben Stiller or Adam Sandler.Â
My husband to help me, an iPhone to talk to our children, and a charger so the phone did not go flat!Â
Just everyday life, we need to enjoy it.Â
Europe before COVID as I have never been there and would love to experience it.Â
A family holiday at a beautiful resort for a long weekend.Â
Born from a need to spread accessible foods to all Australian families, EveryMite is truly life-changing for many. Expanding into baby foods and more, EveryMite continues to be embraced by parents and children all over the country.
After all, no one should have to go without such an Aussie icon on their toast.ÂRead More
